Once again we were blessed with beautiful weather for our September show and it brought plenty of exhibitors out
of the woodwork, especially after the awful weather we had been having this summer.
IMHPS classes were well filled, with the eventual Champion being Elizabeth Howe's filly Wenlockedge Isabella
(pictured below), with Toyhorse Prince Conker Un as Reserve'

For the first time we held qualifying classes for the MHCGB. We hope to see these classes grow in popularity in
the future. Class winners were : Show Hunter- Toyhorse Prince Conker Un. Show Hack- Hermits All That Jazz.
Show Cob Spangleberry Expresso Coffee. Gelding-Redcar Henry. Ultra Mini- Wenlockedge Isabella.
Champion was Conker Un with Coffee ( aka Rambo) in Reserve.

Eight foals came forward to contest the Shetland and Miniature Foal classes. Miniature Horse winner was Elizabeth Archer's Scovell Raleigh, a lovely spotted boy. Shetland winner was J Holland's Calekio a Touch of Heaven.
Foal Champion was Raleigh, with the Reserve Champion also coming from the Miniatures in the shape of our
homebred colt Shadels Cowboys Gold. A great result for his new owners John and Christine Corkhill, to whom
he will soon be going.

Shetland classes were better supported this time. With the eventual Champion being Elizabeth Howe's yearling
Camlan Glesni with Spangleberry Expresso Coffee as Reserve.

The 'fun' classes in the afternoon were hotly contested as always, with the jumping seeing 10 ponies battle
it out for the Golden Oak Trophy. The winner once again was Sue Jerram's Lincs Crackerjack, twice miniature show
jumper of the year at Miniature Horse of the Year in his youth ( but only after having set his usual standard
by pulling mum over and escaping across the showground in the first round !)

For the first time we added a fancy dress class (often asked for by our regulars), and we hope to see this one
grow over the next few years.

Eventual champion in the fun ring was S Withers with Frodo (below), with Kirst Blake and Xi Starling
of Breamore in Reserve.

For the second year running we held the
Spotted ponies of the South Championship,
and for the second year running it was won by
Toyhorse Prince Conker Un (pictured right), with
Toyhorse Princess Amsara in Reserve.

The final Championship of the day was also
taken by Conker Un, with Karosel Crown Jewels
as Reserve.

Sadly our driving class entries were down this
autumn, but we hope to see more of you back next year.

It was down to our old friend Malcolm Hitchings to
take both the singles and the pairs driving classes -
the singles with Skipper, and the pairs with
Skipper and Blue. This pair also took Reserve Champion Supreme in Show!

Once again we thank all of you for supporting us and look forward to seeing you next year.

Any new ideas for classes are always appreciated, we want to keep this as YOUR show.
And I would especially like to thank all of the ' backroom' team for doing such a sterling job as always. Derek for his excellent commentary throughout the day, My son David for putting on several 'hats' as always, and Gemma his
girlfriend for supporting him, and last but by no means least 'little Dave' who keeps us all well fed and watered
throughout the day !
